I maintain microwaving rice is the easiest and tastiest way to cook it.

Steps
- Wash the rice thoroughly
- Combine rice, water, salt, and butter (if using) in a very large and deep bowl or casserole dish. Make sure the bowl is microwave safe
- Microwave on High for 5 minutes.
- Microwave on %50 power for 15 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork.
- Freeze leftovers in the freezer and microwave 1-2 minutes for leftovers
